Your jargon is ambiguous. When I connect the device and power it up, HOME starts and connects to the device without asking. I therefore presume the device is "recognised by HOME".
The device also mounts as a removable drive in Windows. I can explore the device in Windows Explorer.
In HOME, I can access "Manage my XXL". There's one item on the "Install items from computer" tab (QuickGPSfix); it seems to install OK, but keeps coming back. I presume that means it doesn't actually install. Clicking on "Operate my XXL" brought up the device graphic, followed by the TomTom screen within that graphic, then HOME crashed. A partial screen dump is attached as "crash copy.jpg".

up the TomTom screen,
followed by the loading screen
(loading.jpg), followed by the TomTom
screen again, where it freezes.
None of the links you provided seems to apply. That might just be because
I'm unfamiliar with your jargon. Do you still want me to follow those
instructions?
